The Camiguin Airport will soon have a new runway. Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri led the groundbreaking ceremony for the project with a total cost of P675 million. To be developed in three phases, the project will focus on removal of existing PCCP, surplus common excavation, embankment and PCCP. When completed, it will be classified as Principal Class 1 Airport capable of handling jet aircraft with a capacity of 100 or more passengers and a passenger terminal that can accommodate up to 2,000 passengers daily.
