The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will be awarding the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project to operate and maintain Laguindingan International Airport in Misamis Oriental to the original proponent, Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. This decision comes after no comparative proposals were submitted by the extended deadline of September 13.
Based on the timeline (see below), the issuance and publication of the Notice of Award (NOA) will be issued by September 30.
The execution and signing of contract is targeted by October 30, 2024 with the official handover date by April next year.
