The new state-of-the-art Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail (MOPJ), situated on a 5-hectare property in Barangay Kamelon, Initao, is now complete. Photos from Crownworks Construction Inc., the project contractor, showed the facility’s modern features, including separate detention areas for men, women, and minors, as well as a jail hospital and related facilities. This new facility is expected to facilitate the transfer of persons deprived of liberty (PDL) from the current jail near the provincial capitol in Cagayan de Oro.


















In this relation, the proposed New Capitol Master Development could be finally realized. The proposal as presented last year includes a striking twin tower, a 26-storey mixed-use high-rise building that will redefine the skyline, a 5-storey office building and a 7-storey dormitory and office complex.
