Arnis, swimming and chess secured the first medals of the Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) in the ongoing Palarong Pambansa 2024 in Cebu City. At the close of the 2nd day, NMRAA now has 5 silver and 7 bronze medals. Arnis produced 3 silvers courtesy of Hertzen Agpalo of Baloi National High School bagging 2 silvers and Jasmine Sophia Uy of Initao Central School. Prince John Namoc of Valencia City Central School added 2 more silver medals in swimming. NMRAA is currently in 12th place overall but still a lot of medals at stake.
