Five students from Iligan City, Philippines brought home medals and awards in the recently concluded World International Mathematical Olympiad (WIMO) 2023 Battle of the Gold Medalists which took place January 5-8, 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They are Aishah Ambor Gandamra of Tambo Central School (Bronze – Primary 4), Kenzo Rafael Manalo of Youngster Christian Learning Place (Bronze – Primary 4), Xander Lee Bongcawel of Tambo Central School (Merit Award – Primary 5), Jabez Hsien Rara of MSU-IIT Integrated Development School (Merit Award – Primary 6) and Febriene Odyss Molo of Philippine Science High School Central Mindanao Campus (Merit Award – Primary 7).
