Have you been to Migtambol Falls? Nestled along the thickly forested southern foothills of Mt Kalatungan, the 30-meter high natural wonder is located some 12.5 kilometers north of the town proper of Pangantucan, Bukidnon. It is within the jurisdiction of Barangay New Eden, which is about 30 minutes travel time from the town hall and the site can be accessed through 45 minutes to an hour of trekking. Because the area is protected and within the ancestral domain of the local tribal community, necessary mandatory protocols need to be followed prior to going to the site. Just contact Tourism Pangantucan at their official Facebook account or message 0917 744 5868.

Just recently, municipal and provincial officials, tourism staff, team from Protected Area Management Office and members of the local tribal community went to the site for a “Layanen“, a ritual ceremony dedicated to the gift of water in celebration of the anniversary of Migtambol Falls as a tourist attraction.

The waterfalls drops into a 500 sqm basin surrounded by rocks and lush vegetation.

Depths range from 5-9 feet.
