Have you passed by the Bigaan and Cugman Bridges at night? The newly-installed solar street lights have brightened up the highway in Cagayan de Oro’s eastern side. This time, the western side will also have its share as the whole stretch of the Butuan-Cagayan de Oro-Iligan Road from Kauswagan to Iponan will soon be illuminated by solar street lights. The project amounting to P96.5 million will also cover pavement markings, delineator and solar studs. Project duration will be 300 calendar days.
Below are the project details.

Here are layouts of the project.

This is the start of the project near Savemore Kauswagan

Double Arm Solar Street Lights will be placed at the center island.

This is near Toyota Cagayan de Oro.

This is now Bulua Proper. Note that Double Arm Solar Street Lights will be installed if there is an existing center island.

This is the stretch along Iponan Highway with Iponan on the left and Barra on the right. Single Arm Solar Street Lights will be installed on the opposite sides of the highway.

The solar street lights installation ends here near CHAMS Convenience Store Barra approaching Kinasanghan area.

When completed, the whole stretch will be much brighter similar to what is shown in the video below (courtesy of Patrick Vlog).
