RANDOM SHOTS: Cokaliong ship returns to Cagayan de Oro Port after listing off Laguindingan coast; all passengers and crew safe

More than 400 passengers and crew of Cokaliong Shipping Lines’ MV Filipinas Cagayan de Oro are now safe after returning to Cagayan de Oro Port following an incident wherein the Cebu-bound vessel started listing in the waters of Macajalar Bay near Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, shortly after departing from Cagayan de Oro Sunday night, November 12. Maritime authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.

According to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the ship started listing while in the waters off Laguindingan town at around 8:05 p.m. due to strong winds. As shown in photos below shared by netizens, all passengers were already wearing life vests.
