Sofia Chabon from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Golfer of the Month following her win at the recent Payne Stewart Memorial Tournament, where she set the record for the lowest 54-hole total score and leading California Baptist University (CBU) to a third-place finish to start the year. Congratulations!
Chabon who is a graduate student at CBU fired rounds of 71, 68, 69 to finish the Payne Stewart Memorial Tournament at the par-72 Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Missouri at 8-under for a first place finish out of 99 golfers. It was her first career individual win.
She also broke the lowest 54-hole total score record yesterday at the Payne Stewart Memorial after tallying a 208.
