Former Corpus Christi standout Jose Manuel “Joem” Sabandal scored all of his nine points in the last 5:55 leading the Adamson Soaring Falcons to their first win in the UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament, a 79-76 overtime victory over the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers yesterday, October 4. Sabandal scored 9 of the last 13 points for Adamson to earn player of the game honors.
