There will be ‘East Uptown Area’ in Cagayan de Oro soon. This was bared by City Councilor Edgar Cabanlas during the ‘Duaw Kagay-an’ Fellowship Night with more than 30 Kagay-anon balikbayans in attendance held at the City Tourism Hall last Tuesday, August 29. He said SMDC has already signified their plan to develop their 150-hectare property in Upper Puerto. With the proposed development, there will soon to be West and East Uptown CDO. Watch below.
In case you’re wondering where exactly is SMDC’s property in Upper Puerto, here’s what we have gathered based on the map presented in 2021.
It was initially 75 hectares then early this year it expanded to 133 hectares. Now, the property has doubled to 150 hectares. As shown in the map below, SMDC property is right beside Xavier University’s El Gaucho area (soon to be Xavier Ateneo Aggies Complex).
