Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez has secured the assurances from DPWH for the construction of three more bridges spanning Cagayan de Oro River and the Gusa Flyover. These are the Macasandig-Macanhan-Manresa Bypass Road (P250 M), Kalambaguhan-Vamenta Bridge (P300 M), Kauswagan-Consolacion Bridge (P600 M) and Gusa Flyover (P980 M).
As posted in his official Facebook page, Rep. Rufus stated that DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan has promised that both the Macasandig-Macanhan-Manresa Bypass Road and the Kalambaguhan-Vamenta Bridge will be included in its FY 2024 budget. Meanwhile, the Kauswagan-Consolacion Bridge and the Gusa Flyover will be applied for funding by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Here’s a summary of the latest development.
- Php250 Million (1 package) – Construction of Alternate Bypass Road (Macasandig-Macanhan-Manresa) – included in DPWH FY 2024 Budget
- Php300 Million (1 package) – Construction of Alternate Bypass Road and Access Road (Kalambaguhan-Vamenta Bridge) – included in DPWH FY 2024 Budget
- Php600 Million (3 packages) – Construction of Alternate Bypass Road and Access Road (Kauswagan-Consolacion Bridge) – for application for JICA funding
- Php980 Million (5 packages) – Construction of Gusa Flyover along BCIR – for application for JICA funding
