World Bank-funded ₱97.91M investment to boost Bukidnon tribe’s award-winning coffee industry

The Daraghuyan Ancestral Domain in Malaybalay City, home to the award-winning Bukidnon Tribe coffee producers, is set to receive ₱97.91 million in World Bank-funded investments under the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP). The package includes ₱51 million for two farm-to-market roads, a ₱10.45-million multi-commodity warehouse and drying pavement, a ₱14.76-million coffee processing and marketing enterprise, a ₱4.1-million potable water system, and a ₱17.6-million ram pump and gravity-fed irrigation system. Road construction is underway, while post-harvest facilities are expected to be completed within eight months. The investments aim to boost agricultural productivity, improve market access, and strengthen livelihoods in the Indigenous community, whose coffee producers have earned national and regional recognition in recent competitions.
