A newborn baby boy was found inside the public cemetery in Purok 6, Dangoan, Barangay North Poblacion, Medina, Misamis Oriental, at around 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Reports state that a resident heard the infant crying while passing through the cemetery on his way to work and alerted his neighbor, whose mother brought the baby to a local health facility for medical assessment. Police and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) responded to the incident, while an investigation is underway to identify the baby’s parents and determine the circumstances surrounding his discovery.
