A major upgrade is coming to the Opol Public Market as the local government moves forward with a ₱50-million rehabilitation program aimed at improving the market’s facilities, safety, cleanliness, and overall experience. As announced by Mayor Jayfrancis Bago during his State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) on Monday, August 31, the project is expected to provide vendors with a more organized and comfortable place to do business while giving residents and visitors a better, more convenient public market. With Opol continuing to grow, the rehabilitation is seen as an important step toward creating a more modern and efficient community marketplace.
