Opol’s coastal front is set for a major upgrade as Phase 2 of the Opol Boardwalk Project, covering an 8,000-square-meter area, is expected to begin soon, with all required government permits secured and PEZA engineers set to arrive this week to start initial operations. Designed as a vibrant waterfront destination for residents and visitors, the ₱100-million expansion will feature a boardwalk, wide promenade, landscaped green spaces, picnic areas, interactive dancing water fountains, and an outdoor amphitheater with a performance stage beneath modern tensile fabric structures, along with covered walkways, expanded parking, and designated spaces for future seaside café and dining establishment.
