The government will seek foreign funding to fast-track the completion of the nearly 9-kilometer Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road Extension Phase 2 (Puerto-Gusa Section). DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon made the announcement during his ocular inspection today, August 20, of the ongoing earthfilling works at Villa Ernesto Phase 2, which have progressed to more than 700 meters, as well as the bored piling works for the Gusa Coastal Bridge. Cong. Rufus Rodriguez and other city officials accompanied Sec. Dizon during the inspection of the project, which is expected to reduce travel time between Barangays Puerto and Gusa.
