Japan-based investors are exploring a partnership with the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental to develop the coconut industry through a proposed biomass power plant that will use coconut waste as a renewable energy source. Representatives from TJ Group Holdings and Cocowell Corporation discussed the project with Governor Juliette T. Uy, highlighting plans to support coconut farmers, create livelihood opportunities, and expand agricultural investments. A feasibility study will be conducted within three months to assess the project’s viability.
