Basketball standout John Mark “Macky” Peligrino, a proud native of Valencia City, Bukidnon, received a hero’s welcome from supporters upon his return home following his impressive achievements on the national stage. A former teammate of the late Rene Baterbonia at Ateneo de Davao University, Peligrino has established himself as one of the country’s brightest young basketball prospects after playing a pivotal role in his team’s 2025 Palarong Pambansa Secondary Boys Basketball championship triumph and its first runner-up finish in the 2026 edition.
Adding another milestone to his growing career, Peligrino has also committed to De La Salle Santiago Zobel, where he will continue both his academic pursuits and basketball development alongside three fellow standout players. He is shown below during his courtesy visit to Valencia City Hall.
