For more than a decade, Rolando Asentista, Jr. served as a security personnel at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro City while holding on to his dream of earning a college degree. In 2022, he enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Autotronics program and successfully balanced his duties as a security guard with his studies. Inspired by his late mother’s wish to see him graduate and with the support and encouragement of USTP Chancellor Atty. Dionel O. Albina, Rolando persevered through the challenges. On June 24, he proudly received his diploma, turning his long-held dream—and his mother’s dream—into reality. Congratulations!
