Acting on civilian information, government forces engaged the group for about five minutes, resulting in the death of Romeo Mampinsahan, also known as “Kakoy” or “Yuman,” a senior commander, with two high-powered firearms recovered at the scene. Authorities said the operation further weakened the group’s leadership, noting that three of its key figures have already been neutralized, while reaffirming continued security operations in Bukidnon and urging remaining members to surrender.
