The Liceo de Cagayan University High School Glee Club and Alumni have made history as the first Filipino choir to win the prestigious Grand Prix Championship at the Sarawak International Choral Festival in Kuching, Malaysia. Competing against top choral groups from various countries, the ensemble delivered an outstanding performance, sweeping all three categories they entered. They emerged as champions in the Mixed Youth Category with a score of 91.44, the Folk Category with 89.25, and the Musica Sacra Category with 91.81, cementing their place among the world’s finest choral performers and bringing pride to the Philippines.
