Aside from Ateneo de Davao University, where the late Rene Clert “Bobet” Baterbonia completed his Senior High School education, another Ateneo institution, Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, has also offered full scholarships—from Basic Education through College—to all of Bobet’s siblings. This was disclosed by AdDU President Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, during a memorial Mass held today, fulfilling Bobet’s dream of helping secure the education of his brothers and sisters. Fr. San Juan later shared that Bobet’s mother expressed a preference for AdDU, citing its closer proximity to their hometown of Talacogon, Agusan del Sur.
