Barangay Lumbia in Cagayan de Oro City has completed the installation of its new Welcome Arch at Crossing Lumbia ahead of the opening of the Kasoy Festival this Sunday, June 14. The structure features a large “panika” (tribal headdress) bearing the words “Kasoy Country,” symbolizing the barangay’s identity as a leading producer of cashew products in Cagayan de Oro City and Northern Mindanao, as well as a giant bat locally known as “kabug”. The arch is further highlighted by two indigenous people figures “Datu” and “Bae” positioned on both sides of the structure.


By the way, it illuminates at night.
