Northern Mindanao finished seventh overall at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa in Agusan del Sur, slipping two spots from its fifth-place finish in last year’s edition. The delegation collected a total of 89 medals, comprising 27 gold, 31 silver, and 31 bronze medals. Leading the medal haul were dancesport standouts Franessa Denise Cenita and Ian Mcleonard Ramo of Aloran, Misamis Occidental, who each contributed to a four-gold sweep in their events. Swimmer Davy Xybelle Capangpangan of Iligan City captured two gold medals, while Vladimir Motia of Initao, Misamis Oriental also secured two gold medals in arnis. TOP MEDALISTS

RECORD BREAKERS
Charles James Villapaña of Misamis Occidental set a new record in the 110-Meter Hurdles in Secondary Boys with a time of 13.51 seconds.

Cesar P Manliguez also of Misamis Occidental also set a new record in secondary boys triple jump of 15.14 meters.
