RANDOM SHOTS: Swift police response leads to safe delivery of baby boy at Iligan Terminal

On April 29, 2026, at around 9:05 AM, a pregnant woman suddenly went into active labor inside the comfort room of the Iligan Integrated Bus and Jeepney Terminal in Hinaplanon, Iligan City. Upon receiving the report, PCMS Marc T. Claro and PCpl Grace E. Bautista of the Iligan City Police Office – Police Station 1, who were stationed nearby, immediately responded and successfully assisted in the on-site delivery of a baby boy, with PCpl Bautista catching the newborn just in time to prevent him from falling to the floor. Minutes later, personnel from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) arrived and transported both mother and child to Gregorio T. Lluch Memorial Hospital for further care. The swift response ensured the safety of both, highlighting effective and compassionate emergency service.
