A new facility primarily dedicated to cockfighting is set to rise in the eastern part of the city. The Balubal Sports Arena, to be located in Purok 5, Balubal, Cagayan de Oro City, is designed to host large-scale derbies and related events, positioning it as a key hub for enthusiasts while boosting local tourism and economic activity. While centered on cockfighting, the arena will also accommodate boxing matches, pageants, and other community events.
