The Asenso Misamis Occidental Recreation and Adventure Park (AMORAP), dubbed the “Maldives of Mindanao,” has officially opened in the town of Sinacaban, marking a major milestone in the province’s tourism development. Led by Governor Henry S. Oaminal and other provincial officials, the inauguration underscored strong local support for tourism-driven growth. The event also drew national attention with the attendance of over 50 Miss Universe Philippines 2026 delegates.
The park is envisioned not only as a leisure destination but also as a catalyst for economic opportunities, job creation, and community business growth. Provincial leaders emphasized sustainable and responsible tourism, positioning AMORAP as a symbol of inclusive development and long-term progress for Misamis Occidental.
