Sixteen (16) European Union (EU) ambassadors visited Cagayan de Oro City on January 14 and expressed interest in partnering with the city on various development projects, including traffic congestion reduction. Led by EU Ambassador to the Philippines Massimo Santoro, the delegation was welcomed by Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy and city officials at City Hall, toured key historical sites such as Gaston Park and the City Museum, and attended a cultural welcome dinner. The visit featured cultural performances, a presentation on the city’s achievements, and an open forum, underscoring the EU’s commitment to supporting peace, justice, cultural preservation, and development initiatives in Cagayan de Oro and the Philippines.
