Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village has officially closed permanently

After years of serving as a unique tourist attraction that showcased the rich culture of Northern Mindanao, the Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village in Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City has officially ceased operations permanently effective today, January 7, 2026. The announcement was made through its official Facebook page, where management confirmed that the park is no longer accepting new bookings and reservations.

TIEZA

It may be recalled that the park’s management agreement with the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) reportedly ended in December 2025. Reports further indicate that TIEZA also opted not to renew the lease of the property from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
