Construction activity in Northern Mindanao surged by 17.2% in 2024 based in the latest figures released by the Philippine Statistics Authority in Northern Mindanao (PSA-10). The total number of approved constructions rose to 12,095 in 2024, up from 10,324 in 2023. Of these, 9,379 were residential buildings — underscoring a continued strong demand for housing. Notably, Cagayan de Oro City led the region with 2,921 new constructions in 2024, representing 24.2% of the total. This highlights Cagayan de Oro’s role as a major growth center and a key driver of Northern Mindanao’s ongoing construction boom.
