PROJECT WATCH: REDC starts testing and commissioning of 18.2 MW Pulanai hydropower facility in Bukidnon

Repower Energy Development Corp. (REDC) has started the testing and commissioning of its 18.2 MW Pulanai run-of-river hydropower project in Barangay Lumbayao, Valencia City, Bukidnon near the border with the Municipality of San Fernando. Operated by its wholly-owned subsidiary Cabanglasan Hydropower Corporation, the Php 4-billion facility taps the Pulangui River and can generate around 130 GWh of clean energy yearly—enough to power more than 54,000 homes. This marks REDC’s ninth operating hydropower plant and its first in Mindanao.

Below is a screenshot of its disclosure at the Philippine Stock Exchange.

Here’s the location of the hydropower facility which is near the Valencia-Talaingod-Kapalong Road.
