Rescuers recovered the bodies of two landslide victims in Sitio Kipolot, Barangay Palacapao, Quezon, Bukidnon, at around 9:31 a.m. today, October 23, 2025. The victims were found embracing each other. The recovery came on the fifth day of search operations, aided by K9 units from the Philippie Army’s 10th Infantry Division and backhoes used for excavation. Earlier, on October 19, responders found a motorcycle helmet and personal belongings, which helped locate the victims.
The victims, Ely and Thelma Ubatay, both 60 years old from Kitaotao, Bukidnon were riding their tricab when the landslide occurred Saturday night, October 18.
