Rural Transit Mindanao Inc. (RTMI), the lone bus operator serving the Cagayan de Oro–Davao City route, has requested approval from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for a temporary route after a landslide damaged a section of the Bukidnon-Davao (Buda) Road in Barangay Palacapao, Quezon, Bukidnon last Saturday. The company plans to use the Valencia–Talaingod–Kapalong Road, which passes through Valencia City and San Fernando in Bukidnon, then through Talaingod, Kapalong, Tagum City, Carmen, and Panabo City in Davao del Norte before reaching Davao City. RTMI already operates a bus route to Mati City using the same road.
