The 58th Infantry “Dimalulupig” Battalion, in partnership with the National Amnesty Commission, has awarded Safety Conduct Passes to eight former rebels in Misamis Oriental during a ceremony at the Local Amnesty Board Office in Cagayan de Oro City. Presided over by Atty. Merlyn Barola Uy, Chairperson of the Local Amnesty Board, the event highlighted the government’s ongoing commitment to peace, reconciliation, and reintegration. The Safety Conduct Pass provides legal protection and freedom of movement for the recipients, while also serving as a symbol of their commitment to peaceful conflict resolution and active participation in building national unity.
