El Salvador City inaugurated and blessed its new Sanitary Landfill in Barangay Hinigdaan on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Led by City Mayor Edgar “Esalig” Lignes, the ceremony marked a significant milestone in the city’s continuing efforts toward sustainable waste management and environmental protection. The event was also attended by city officials, stakeholders, and representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) Region 10.
