Oro Response and Processing Center seeks info on newborn baby left outside IFI Bulua church

The Oro Response and Processing Center of the Cagayan de Oro City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Department is appealing for information on the mother—or any details—regarding the newborn baby girl found abandoned outside the Iglesia Filipina Independiente church in Barangay Bulua past midnight on Sunday, September 14. A concerned fetch rider discovered the infant wrapped in a black jacket and gray t-shirt, with her umbilical cord still freshly cut, and immediately called 911. The baby is now under the care of JR Borja General Hospital.

Hospital nurse Joshua Peñosa shared an update on the newborn. In his Facebook post, Joshua stated that as part of routine newborn care, the baby’s HGT (sugar level) was checked and found to be slightly low, possibly because she had not yet consumed milk. Following the doctor’s orders, the baby was given breastmilk through cup feeding (as shown in the video).

Meanwhile, Fetch rider Cli Clint was commended for his effort.
