After months of pursuit, police finally arrested John Kyler Andohon, a 23-year-old criminology student, for the brutal killing of his parents and younger sibling on May 11, 2025, in Barangay Managok, Malaybalay City. He was apprehended on September 12, 2025, in Barangay 1 of the same city through a warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 46 for two counts of parricide and one count of murder, with no bail recommended. Following the crime, Andohon went into hiding and was listed as the Top 1 Most Wanted Person in Region 10, Bukidnon, and Malaybalay City. Police continue to investigate his motive.
