The Municipality of Manolo Fortich in Bukidnon has just acquired a ₱1.064M high-tech speed gun with night vision, laser detection, camera, and ticket dispenser. The local Roads and Traffic Administration conducted a demonstration of the device last September 5 along Sayre Highway in Bliss, Lingion, as part of preparations for the strict enforcement of speed limits starting October. Signages will be installed every 500 meters, with a one-week familiarization period for motorists before full implementation. This move is under the Municipal Traffic Code (Ordinance 2012-847) and Mayor Rogelio Quiño’s agenda on peace and order.
Below are the speed limits under Municipal Traffic Code (Ordinance 2012-847):
- 60 kph – National Highways
- 40 kph – near Urbanized places
- 30 kph – Town Proper/Urbanized places
