Before AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other digital tools took over, blueprinting was the standard for reproducing technical drawings. In Cagayan de Oro, one shop became synonymous with the ammonia print process—Del Castillo Copy Center along Pacana Street, behind VIP Hotel. For decades, it was the trusted go-to of engineers, architects, and students in need of blueprints. Today, most firms and schools have shifted to digital drafting, with printers and plotters offering faster, cleaner results without the strong chemicals of traditional blueprinting. Still, some agencies, like the Register of Deeds, continue to require blueprints for lot surveys. And while times have changed, Del Castillo Copy Center remains a fixture—now evolving alongside the digital age.
