Fashion designers Gil Macaibay III of Cagayan de Oro City and Tresha Verne Asis of Misamis Oriental bagged special awards at the 2025 Precious of Malaysia Cultural Fashion Week held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Macaibay’s Malong collection called “Yakap” won the Excellent Inspiration Award while Asis’ handmade beaded accessories won the Global Inspiration Award. Asis was a replacement for Kagay-anon designer Frances Sean “Kiko” C. Domo, who withdrew last July. Congratulations!
