The Environmental Management Bureau Region X (EMB-10) and the local government unit of Alubijid, Misamis Oriental have ordered all poultry farms in the town to resolve fly infestation and other environmental problems before operations can resume. This was gathered during an August 8 technical conference with poultry operators, local officials, and concerned residents. Farm owners agreed to sign a Memorandum of Undertaking to carry out corrective measures, with strict monitoring by EMB-10, the Department of Agriculture, and the LGU to protect public health and prevent future issues.
EMB-10 Regional Director Reynaldo S. Digamo warned that farms failing to meet Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) conditions will face further sanctions.
