Another young chess talent from Cagayan de Oro City is making her mark on the international stage. Fourteen-year-old Lila Alyssa Seriña clinched 2nd place in the Women’s Blitz U8-U18 preliminary event and later secured 3rd place in the W1700 category at the recently concluded Asian Amateur Chess Championships 2025, held from August 1 to 9 in Hong Kong.
