The Department of Science and Technology – Region 10 (DOST-10) recently opened two new innovation spaces at its regional office in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. The Innovation Hub (iHUB) is a space for students, researchers, and startups to brainstorm and work together on new ideas. The Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMCen) offers services like 3D modeling, 3D printing, simulation, materials testing, and training. These facilities aim to support local innovators and startups by helping them create and test prototypes without needing to invest in expensive equipment.
DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang, along with DOST-MIRDC Director Engr. Robert O. Dizon, Brgy. Carmen Chairman Hon. Raineir Joaquin “KapKik” Uy and DOST Northern Mindanao Regional Director, Engr. Romela N. Ratilla, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Other DOST officials from other Mindanao regions also attended the milestone event.
