VIDEO WATCH: Robbery victim captures suspect on video moments before holdup

A robbery victim in Cagayan de Oro caught his attacker on video just before the crime happened. According to netizen Frank Chan, he took a habal-habal around 10:00 PM to meet his cousins for an overnight online gaming session. He was filming his ride. When he got off near Capitol University and pulled out his wallet to pay, the driver suddenly grabbed his arm and started pulling a knife from his sling bag, demanding the wallet. Chan gave it without resisting. Luckily, the suspect didn’t take his iPhone, possibly fearing it could be tracked. Chan posted the video hoping netizens can help identify the suspect and report to the police.

Here’s the translation:

“To anyone who recognizes this person or finds them familiar—this is the guy who held me up around 10 PM. I was on my way to meet my two cousins to spend the night playing online games. Since there were no more relas or jeepneys available, I took a motorcycle ride (habal-habal).

When I got off near Capitol University, I took out my wallet to get P15 to pay the fare. As I handed over the money, the rider suddenly grabbed the hand I was using to hold both my wallet and phone. He then said, “Give it to me or I’ll stab you.” He started pulling out a knife from his sling bag. I had no choice but to give him my wallet. He didn’t take my phone, probably because it was an iPhone and he “knew it could be tracked.”
