The Xavier University (XU) Crusaders clinched an impressive 2nd runner-up finish (3rd place) in the just concluded National Ultimate Collegiate Championship (NUCC) 2025 held July 19-20 at the CDC Parade Grounds in Clark, Pampanga. Serwello Philip Cortes scored 4 goals as the Crusaders edged out DLSUST, 8-7, in the battle for 3rd place. XU wrapped up the tournament with a strong record of 5 wins and only 2 losses. Congratulations!

During the preliminaries, XU blasted UP Los Banos x De La Salle – College of St. Benilde (10-4), blanked UP Baguio x St. Louis University (12-0), and edged UP Diliman x UP Manila (9-8). But XU lost to DLSUST (4-5) in the crossover. XU then repeated over UPB x SLU (12-1) in the quarterfinals. The Crusaders, however, lost to UPD x UPM, 6-7, in the semifinals to settle for the battle for 3rd Place.
