Motorists using PN Roa Sr. Avenue (Macapagal Drive) are hoping the road works will finally be finished soon, especially now that the rainy season has started. The road is an important link between Uptown Cagayan de Oro and Canitoan, and the city’s western areas. One lane is currently closed for re-blocking, and traffic is taking turns. Many drivers are frustrated by the slow progress and delays since the project started last year resulting to heavy traffic in the area. With the onset of the rainy season, some are asking why the contractor did not speed up the work during the dry months.
