A third-year nursing student was found dead near the coast of Manticao, Misamis Oriental, after reportedly jumping off Agus Bridge in Iligan City on the night of July 10. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Chloe Suzene Villaester y Genon from Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte, and a student at St. Michael’s College in Iligan City. Her body was discovered by a fisherman around 6:15 AM on July 11, floating approximately 150 meters from the shore. She had been temporarily staying in Barangay Luinab, Iligan City.
An initial examination at Manticao Provincial Hospital found no signs of struggle, trauma, or injuries on her body. Her remains have been brought to Galeon Funeral Homes in Manticao as police continue to investigate the exact cause and circumstances of her death.

CCTV footage also showed the victim walking on the night of July 10, wearing the same clothes she was found in.
Soon after the victim was identified, close friends began posting photos of her online.
