A ₱500-million climate-resilient farm training center called the Institute for the Sustainable Transformation of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries will soon be built in Barangay Linangkayan, Naawan, Misamis Oriental. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on July 10, led by DAR undersecretaries, local officials, and a representative from Congressman Bambi Emano’s office. The two-hectare site donated by the LGU will house the center which will serve as a training hub for farmers and DAR employees and will also function as a TESDA-NC II assessment center for farmer trainers and DAR-X staff.

Below are perspectives of the proposed facility.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also signed to formalize the collaboration.

During the event, DAR also turned over ₱7.26 million worth of farm machinery and inputs to ARBOs from Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, and Camiguin.

It can be recalled that Misamis Oriental Congressman Yevgeny Vincente Emano requested the project last year. See below.
