Rodolfo D. Lastimosa Jr., originally from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines, and now based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, has been elected as the new Council Chair of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), the regulatory body for the nursing profession in Ontario. An alumnus of Liceo de Cagayan University, Lastimosa holds multiple degrees and is professionally registered as a physiotherapist, nurse, and midwife. In Canada, he is both a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and a Registered Nurse (RN) and currently serves as Associate Director of Care RN at Sienna Senior Living. His leadership and contributions to the nursing community have earned him several awards, including the RNAO Nursing Now Ontario Award, the York University School Spirit Award, and the Joan Lesmond IEN of the Year Award.

Lastimosa recently returned to Cagayan de Oro and visited his alma mater, Liceo de Cagayan University, where he completed his elementary and high school education, earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) and Associate in Health Science Education (AHSE), pursued a degree in Nursing, and finished his Master’s in Nursing. He is shown with University President Alain Marc Golez during his courtesy visit.


He was also invited as Guest Speaker to the university’s graduating nursing students during their 83rd Pinning Ceremony.






Aside from reuniting with his family, he also visited the newly-rehabilitated Divisoria Park.
